The Great Gathering of Calais and farmers wearing reflective clothing intend to conduct a major blocking operation Monday, September 5 to protest against the management of the migratory crisis and the repeated assaults every night on the axes around Calais.
“Our goal is to show our dismay at this situation in Calais.” With these words Frederic Van, president of the Trade Union of Calais, began the press conference on Monday morning about movement of September 5. Of Calais, port employees, traders, farmers and road haulers in safety vest are called to mobilize to get a clear answer on the dismantling of the Jungle. Two snail operations will be organized. One from Dunkirk, the other of Boulogne is Calais with rallying point where a block will be operated on the A16.
