Everything for a safe shooting festival

The shooters on the weekend, 10 to 13 August, want a nice shooting festival – and above all, the safety of festival. For this, they have done everything again and put a safety concept on their feet.

Already 14 days ago, all participants sat together: volunteer fire department, police, German Red Cross, public order of the community and the shooters. Since then nothing stands in the way of the festival weekend.

“We have to register the parades “, explains Michael, organizer of the shooting festival. The approval was given the circle – with the same specifications as last year. “That calmed us down,” says Pache. Nothing was changed in the process.

During the parades – picking up the royal couple with a march on Saturday and a big parade on Sunday – the main focus is according to Pache on the main street. “This is blocked off with beacons provided by the community,” says Pache.

Folder for removals wanted

As in the past year, red-white cordon tape, signs and folders in safety vests are enough in the Tempo 30 zones that the shooters carry out in their moves. “So far, a lot of folders have reported,” says Pache. He could still use three to four helpers. If you are interested, you can contact Michael Pache at Tel. 01 76/64 39 17 31. He suspects that, as in the past few years, there will still be briefs. “We always get it.”

“We are on the safe side”

“On Saturday and Sunday, we are on the safe side during the parades.” Michael Pache is very satisfied with the support of the participants. Especially the local fire department emphasizes the organizer. For the children’s parade in the family afternoon on Monday, the effort is less. “The parade does not take place on the street,” explains Pache. The children are working on the church behind the royal couple.

The security concept of the shooters, however, does not only include the parades. Also, the bird shooting on Saturday and the [Q] -stall party on Friday evening must be safe. “The bird shooting range has been completely renovated,” says Pache. There are certain rules that must be complied with. “It’s all in line with the rules. We have no security concerns, “emphasizes the organizer.

[Q] stall is a big event

The [Q] -Stall-Party is meanwhile a major event for the shooters with more than 1100 party guests. As in the previous year, the members have again taken care of a professional security service. The shooters have decided for the company Galicia Security from Unna. “They did a good job last year – with a lot of tact,” says Pache. “We trust in it again this year.” The police also drive more patrol.

A look at the past shooting festivals shows that the holidays went quiet overall. Several years ago, some guests thought they could steal signs that stood on the road. Since then, the shooters have illuminated the parking lot. Should there be problems on the shooter’s field or in the tent, the shooters would use their house right, explains Pache.

So far, the “village character” has always come through at the shooting festival. “People want to celebrate together peacefully,” says Pache. And so it is again this year: “We all want to have a nice party.”

With brains and technology

“What the man does with power makes the woman with technology and brains”, says Manfred Bader, freelance forestry master. Under his guidance, six interested women now learned how to use the chainsaw.

The first of two course days was entirely devoted to the theory: Felling techniques were involved, as well as the construction, maintenance and care of the chainsaw, and a first aid course was also on the program.

In safety clothing and armed with a power saw, it went on the second day. At a felled tree, the women – they mostly came from surrounding communities – practiced cutting techniques, before they went to sell themselves.

When asked why there is an extra chainsaw course for women and the demand for them continues to increase, the experts learned that there are more and more women owning a piece of woodland. But that’s not necessarily the main reason. The fact that it is simply funnier among women and they can ask open questions. And: In a mixed course, they would sometimes be treated by the participating men. “As if we were not done for the job and at home we were only allowed to do the initial work,” said one participant.

Instructor Bader has specifically addressed in his course that women have to deal with the handling of the chainsaw unlike men and answered their questions. The course is not means simpler or work in the forest is less dangerous. Bader emphasizes.

This is also confirmed by district manager Silvia from the Department of Food, Agriculture and Forestry: “Forestry is one of the most dangerous jobs, which are why you always have to be in the forest for at least two,” said Silvia. But tree felling is not only dangerous for the workers. Even walkers disregarded again and again the barriers and thus put themselves in mortal danger. “Blocked roads may under no circumstances be entered,” Silvia warned.

For one falling tree can outline another. This is not always aware of hikers. Again and again, there are fatal accidents such as a cyclist, which disregarded the barrier and was killed by a tree, said Silvia.

As new methods and techniques for tree-growing are developed over time, Bader recommended visiting such a course every few years, not just to learn new things but also to refresh what he has learned.

50 safety vests for kindergarten

A bicycle day is common for the kids of the Kindergarten. Once a month he is on the program. However, head Silke Lange admits to our newspaper that it was somewhat problematic in the last six months. The public road behind the kindergarten cannot be easily blocked… Now, the parking lot or the fire department area.

Yesterday, however, the day was very special, even if you could not use the wheels because of the weather. In the morning, namely the children got a visit from the company of ATU. Representatives of the workshop and retail chain brought the children 50 reflective safety vests. Proud as the Spaniards, the little ones ran around in the facility. And so that they were used symbolically right, the educators played a video for traffic safety to the little ones. The so-called melon test showed how wearing a helmet and a vest with reflective tape affects one’s own safety and learned other important things about behavior on the road.

Not only the children, but also Silke Lange, were happy about the present. Therefore, the institution had applied last year in the ATU campaign fireflies. It did not work out. It was successful this year. Of the 105 registered children, 30 are new school children – for whom the reflective vest plays a major role. But you can also use them differently, for example, during trips to the kindergarten, in order to recognize the registered children immediately.

Left, right and left again

Six preschool children of the Cake Community kindergarten SBI have been taking the pedestrian license these days. Traffic educator Gabi Meister came with her traffic guard. Leon, Jacob, Amelia, Sam, Luca and Johanna joined with zeal in the important topic of traffic education. Preschoolers are already brought along many personal experience on the subject of traffic safety. Gabi Meister first set up a crosswalk dummy and practiced safely crossing the road in this way in the multipurpose room. The next step was to “unveil” a traffic light and compare the difference between driver and pedestrian traffic light. Numerous situations of road traffic from the perspective of the children were discussed in detail. So everyone agreed that the ball game should take place better in the garden and not or on the street. Like a mantra, the road crossing at the zebra crossing was practiced: “Look to the left, look to the right and then to the left again, eyes open – that brings it”. Important: The outstretched arm, clearly visible to the driver, as a begging barrier. The children had quickly internalized this. Thus one could finally go outside.

Dressed in safety vests, the preschool children, accompanied by Gabi Meister and an educator, marched in the direction of school. The drivers stopped in exemplary fashion and friendly at the zebra crossing and let the children cross the street. “Unfortunately, this is not always the case,” said Gabi Meister. She and her two colleagues, Ina Maier and Eva Braun, experience it again and again that cars do not stop to let the practicing children cross the street. Recently, a child was being outraged because the hurrying postman was too slow.

The boys and girls always wear safety vests with reflective tapes are easy to recognize, especially as they usually form a group. Children dealing with traffic safety are often hesitant and anxious and want to do everything right on the day of training. That can take a few seconds. In there, the traffic was low and so kept the children calm and mastered their task effortlessly.

Another problem sees Gabi master parking in the five meter security area before and after the zebra crossing. This should be kept free. Because children are not naturally as recognizable as adults. On the way between kindergarten and crosswalk many street signs which made of reflective materials were discussed. The sidewalk was consistently cut, even if a parking lot had to be bypassed. The children knew exactly that the emergency vehicles of the police, the fire department, ambulances, the THW and ambulance cars are allowed to pass everywhere. They have to be careful when they hear the siren. An electrically powered car rushed quietly past the children’s group and was an instructive example of not relying on hearing alone.

After returning to kindergarten, the six new “traffic experts” received their pedestrian license. As youngest road users, they will soon be able to apply their new knowledge on their way to school. Gabi Meister was very satisfied. “You only exist once,” she told the children to use what they had learned. That shone on the future first graders.

Balance SIAT: traffic accident investigations

At the national level, there are 11 people who were killed due to traffic accidents in the country. The accident was recorded at kilometer 2 of the road to Chaka, when a van traveling on this route ran over a woman identified as Clara, 55, who without wearing reflective clothing with reflective tapes.

Captain Daniela explained that there were three factors that influenced the tragedy.

“First of all we must consider that the accident occurred at 02.40 in the morning on Monday, that is to say at night and in a place where the lighting is very bad,” he said, referring to the null existence of lights on that route .

“Second, the victim was walking along the road itself, along with another person and none used reflective clothing or light; That’s why the driver saw them when he already had them on him. In fact you can see that he tried to avoid them and if he did not, he could have run over both of them. “he said.

But the most important thing was that “both the driver and the pedestrian were drunk. For this reason the driver was stopped and formalized on Monday morning,” explained the expert in traffic accident investigations.

The woman was assisted by SAMU personnel, since after the warning of the emergency units she was still alive, however, her death was confirmed about 40 minutes after the accident.

The balance of the SIAT also reflects a high rate of impaired drivers in the region, mostly due to speed.

According to data, whose personnel only carried out traffic checks, more than 100 parties attended between Saturday and Monday at 7:00 p.m.

“Most of them traveled on routes that cross through Neuquén, San and Tranquil, and show how important it is for people to know that we are not only focused on controlling Route 5 South or the Tate Route, but it also shows that despite all the campaigns and all the efforts of Carabineers and other authorities, there are still many people who do not respect traffic laws or take self-care measures to drive, “said Captain.

Most of the infractions were due to speed, followed by those who were notified for driving without the corresponding licenses and, in a third group, those who drove in vehicles without the daily technical review or with technical deficiencies.

With death of Clara the number of deaths due to traffic accidents amounts to 36, so far in 2018. This, out of a total of 70 serious accidents investigated by the SIAT. Most of them were not wear reflective vests when go outside at night.

As has been the trend for several decades, the abuses continue to be the main cause of death in the region and this year there are already 12 fatal cases. The rest of the deaths were recorded in 11 collisions, eight crashes and five rollovers.

And even though this long weekend has ended, “we believe that the maximum traffic flow we will see next Sunday, when the winter holidays end. This weekend saw a relatively low flow, since only those who had to return to their jobs returned. “they said in the SIAT.

How can I identify the census takers

On July 23 will start the XII Population Census and Housing VII, therefore, between this date and August 16 you will receive the visit of the census takers who will ask you questions about your family.

However, there is a question that you may be asking yourself: how can I identify them? The National Institute of Statistics (INE) made this day the official presentation of the uniforms.

Census takers will be identified with a blue reflective vest and gray reflective tape with three logos embroidered opposite: the census on the left side; and that of the INE and the United Nations Population Fund in the law.

In the back they will also have the census logo and the identification of logo in white letters which are made of reflective heat transfer vinyl.

In addition, they will carry a card that identifies them, in which the DPI number of them will also appear, and a blue cap with the census logo embroidered on the front.

For their part, the coordinators will use a similar, but gray uniform. Consider that each interview lasts between 30 and 50 minutes. Although it is not necessary for the censuses to enter your home, you can attend them in a shady place or where you consider it appropriate.

Nearly half of those killed on the roads are pedestrians

A woman and a man were the last passers-by to be run over on the Costa da Morte. it happened on February 6. But so far in 2018, there are seven the outrage accounted for. There were two victims: Roberto and Evaristo.

Victims of abuse, far from being reduced, remain dangerous in time, to such an extent that they represent almost half of those killed on the roads in the area. In 2016, four of the nine victims were registered. And so far this year, two out of five. In Traffic of the Civil Guard, they have a well-defined profile of the deceased and wounded: a person of about 70-80 years, who circulated without reflective vests and did it outside the enabled steps. In some cases, they traveled in the middle of the night on the roads that are forbidden for passers-by, such as the highway and on the Costa da Morte highway. The latter registered its first and only decreased since its implementation at the end of July 2016. It happened on October 11, 2017, when José 76 years old and resident of Valona lost his life. He walked through the middle of the two lanes, and without any reflective clothing.

Before this rebound of the accident rate, with pedestrians involved, the Provincial Traffic Headquarters in collaboration with the Subsector of Traffic of the Civil Guard, yesterday began a prevention campaign in the DP-1914. The objective is to raise awareness among residents of the problems and the risk of violating the instructions on road safety. This campaign included the delivery of reflective vests, among neighbors of the area.

Lieutenant of Traffic of the Civil Guard and responsibility of the detachment of In Corunna, Jose Manuel Lopez participated yesterday in the campaign of sensitization initiated in Cabrillo. “The data are worrisome both at the provincial level and the Costa da Morte. At the provincial level we have 10 pedestrians who died in 2016; six in 2017 and three so far this year. These are very worrying data because, in most cases, they were abuses in which the victims were not wearing something as simple as a reflective vest .

According to the head of the detachment, these ominous statistics are even worse in a mural like the Costa da Morte: “Population aging and dispersion act as an aggravating factor. People need to run their errands and have to go on general roads, with a great movement of traffic. These pedestrians, either walk or vehicles that do not require a driver’s license, with the risk that entails .

This campaign aims to be an awareness of the need to follow the indications on road safety. “It’s no use having the reflective vest with reflective materials at home. You have to use it whenever you go out. It is the only way to be visible to drivers because the risk of being run over is very high. If you add to that a poor public lighting, adverse weather conditions and the use of dark clothes, the possibility of danger increases exponentially. “

Delivery reflective vests to cyclists and motorcyclists

The Secretariat of Public Safety of Yucatan, through its police elements, delivers reflective vests to cyclists and motorcyclists to promote education and road safety, since last July 22 in different parts of the city of Merida and in some parts of the interior of the state.

To request this security measure, you can go to the SSP Police Bases located on the Peripheral Ring at the Alfa-Beta Base of the Valladolid exit, the Delta Base at Causal and the Prevention Guard. In Security Complex of kilometer 45.

The vest is yellow with a reflective material and Velcro on the chest that allows drivers to distinguish these vehicles at a considerable distance and more safely.

In its social networks, the SSP urges the drivers of two-wheeled vehicles and tricycles to use the vests with reflective tapes, because “no safety measure is too much”.

The policemen handed out reflective elements

You can encourage the use of reflective materials in many ways. This time, policemen from the Rude highway encouraged to improve their safety during the “Safe Intersections” operation.

Uniforms the pedestrians to take care of their safety during the pre-Christmas rally. Police officers from the RW road route appeared on pre-Christmas Thursday in the area of the main intersections of our city. Their aim was to increase the safety of pedestrians and drivers, especially at intersections. Pedestrians promoted the use of marked pedestrian crossings and wearing reflective vests that improve visibility. Uniforms reminded everyone that wearing retro-reflective elements is not only an obligation, but also an indication of common sense on the road. These were successive actions of the policemen from the roadside, to make the road users aware of the dangers they would face, to remind the existing regulations and to improve the safety on our roads.

Remember that a pedestrian who is moving on a dark road without reflections is practically invisible. The driver is able to notice such a person only from a distance of 20-30 meters. However, if it has reflective tapes, the driver can already see it from over 150 m. You want to come home safely – WE WORK REFLECTIONS!

How does reflective sport clothing work?

Being in the business of reflection material, it didn’t take much reflection of our own to realize it would probably be helpful if we put together a little post about how reflective clothing actually works… Of course we’re pretty fascinated with the simple principle of retro reflectivity and interested in the subject but and hope that we can break it down in a simple manner and pass on this interest to you. So without further ado, we will attempt to answer the question. “How does safety clothing work?”

The first thing that we need to clarify is in very technical terms, the laws of reflection are as follows:

1.The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal to the reflective surface at the point of the incidence lie in the same plane.

2.The angle which the incident ray makes with the normal is equal to the angle which the reflected ray makes to the same normal.

3.The reflected ray and the incident ray are on the opposite sides of the normal

Now when you look at this reflective material directly you do not see yourself like a mirror. That is because this fabric is considered a rough surface unlike a smooth surface. A smooth surface is well, a smooth surface, like a flat mirror or still lake. The fabric is a rough surface that has mirrored basically facing every direction which causes all its rays to reflect in every direction and thus no clear image is formed. So when you are driving in your car at night and see a reflective triangle on the shoulder up ahead 200 yards on the right(which is a cyclist using their Bike Wrappers), it is because the light from your car headlights(incident ray) goes from your car, hits the Bike Wrappers(which is basically mirrored reflective fabric and the ‘normal’), which bounces the reflecting ray back at you at the exact same angle that the incoming ray struck it. Since the Bike Wrappers are a rough surface the light that strikes it will reflect in all different directions but the majority of the rays will bounce back right back to the driver. One other little factoid for you; the reflecting biker you see up ahead 200 yards is 200 yard ahead of you BUT the light that you see has actually traveled 400 yards. It went 200 yards from your headlight to the biker, hit the ‘mirror’ and came back another 200 yards to your eyeballs, making it travel 400 yards total. Good thing light travels…at the speed of light.
