Newly placed planters will temporarily be removed again

They were there for about six days. Two planters in the Kapelstraat in Beek and Donk. Now they are gone again. The municipality assures temporary. The two bins will probably be replaced on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday the municipality of Laarbeek placed the two planters in the Kapelstraat. The bins, put down as a test, came at the insistence of local residents and the village council of Beek and Donk. They are intended to limit speed and, at the same time, to discourage covert traffic. Kapelstraat residents have been concerned about road safety for years. Their street is officially a 30-kilometer zone. But by no means, all drivers adhere to it. The road also attracts a lot of stealth traffic.

Now the containers have been removed by the municipality and are on the municipal yard. Reason: they must be weighted and are also provided with more reflective material. The bins are then put back as quickly as possible.

Tips to walk safely in the dark

The darkest days of the year are rapidly approaching. For many runners that mean training before the sun rises, or after work, when it is pitch dark. With our tips, you also keep it safe during those dark running training sessions.

  1. Fluorescent is the new black

The more striking your clothes, the greater the chance that other road users will notice you from afar. So let your black standard outfits hang in the closet and put on your most flashy sports clothes. Fashion guru Jani may not like it, but you will receive bonus points from us if you combine fluorescent with reflective material. Nowadays there are even sprays that lay a temporary reflective layer over your clothes. Handy!

  1. Invest in lighting

With fluorescent and reflective clothing, you are already well on your way. What is much safer? Taking care of your own lighting! This makes you appear on the floor in front of you so that you see where you have to put your feet. And, of course, drivers see from a great distance that a runner is arriving. Do not just think of white front light such as a headlight, but also a red backlight, for example, a run light that you comfortably wear in a “harness”.

Reflective fabric for making outdoor wear

A specially designed collection of clothing that throws sticks under the feet of all-purpose paparazzi who want to feel the sensation.

From personal experience that DJ Chris Holmes gathered during his performance in the world tour of Sir Paul McCartney, a brilliant idea finally emerged.

The well-known master of the mixing console could not fail to notice that the reflective clothing he frequently used during his performance had an unfortunate effect on the photographs he had taken. Along the glare, the silhouettes always showed the pictures, making photographs worthless.

Hence, a brilliant idea is coming from here, which can surely endure the lives of often very hunted hunters, the paparazzi.

Chris Holmes and the Beta brand clothing brand are a special collection of Flashback Collection, made of the highly reflective material, with an integral part of glass calibers. They have the only effect when capturing a photo. The wearer of this specially dressed garment makes it virtually invisible.

In addition, the complete collection is designed to protect its wearer not only in society but also in leisure activities. It offers both a social suit and sports reflective jackets and bombs, which can be combined with other accessories such as hats, hats or scarves.

Do you think Flashback Collection has a real chance to succeed? For us, YES.

Reflective vests make children more visible

Nearly two hundred people, students, and employees of the Primary School in Stone established reflective vests and created the “Reflective Stone” inscription as part of the promotion of an important idea, which will now be assessed by the police and the school board.

In this way, they want to draw the attention of all pedestrians and especially students to the need to put reflective material. Autumn is a specific period. The dark falls quickly, often fog or rain. All this limits visibility. Reflective vests make us more visible and therefore more secure.

The action is related to the participation of the school in the eighth edition of the Malagasy Competition “Reflective School.” The Małopolska Provincial Road Safety Council, Road Traffic Department of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters and the Małopolska Board of Education in Krakow organize the competition. The competition is getting more and more difficult because the prizes are getting more and more valuable. Last year, the winning school won PLN 12,000.

Be visible be safe

Reflective vests facilitating the safety of the road went to a dozen or so Poleis schools. This is an action organized by Stokowski, operating under the name of one of the largest agricultural machinery manufacturers in the province.

We called our action quite eloquently. Her motto is “Be visible – be safe.” In this way, we wanted to emphasize and at the same time to make children and young people aware of the importance of road safety – says Paula, the owner of the Metal-Foch Store. A new school year began a few days ago. The autumn-winter period is inexorably approaching. Unfortunately, police statistics leave no shadow of a doubt. It is at this time that more accidents involving pedestrians occur.

Moving on an unlit road without any reflective material, we are virtually invisible to the drivers. The driver has a chance to see such a person only from a distance of about 20-30 meters. It is definitely not enough to avoid it or stop it. The reflective vest makes the roadside notice noticeably earlier – even from a distance of 150 meters. This gives drivers the opportunity to perform safe maneuvers.

Another example of using vests is school trips, even if they take place during the day. This way of naming children has a positive effect on the safety of the little ones, especially in winter when it is gray.

That is why we organized the September campaign in schools. We have handed over a pack of 25 vests to schools. In this way, we wanted to draw students’ attention to the fact that road safety is very important. We encourage you to wear this type of elements, including adults. This is all about our health and even life – adds Paula.

The police gave reflectors to cyclists and pedestrians

In spite of the bad weather on Wednesday, police officers in safety vest went to the streets of the county metropolis to point out the danger to cyclists and pedestrians in reduced visibility.

“This is a preventative action when we and cyclist from BESIP address bikers and pedestrians. They will take some valuable advice on how to protect themselves and get a quick-release reflective tape, “said Lena, a spokesman for the Hradec Police.

In addition, how should traffic be protected? Use reflective and fluorescent materials and combine them so that you can see them in the dark even in the dark. Reflective objects are best positioned at the end of the sleeves, close to the knees and to the waist level. Cyclists also need to wear on helmet and bicycle. Children wear clothes, school bags, and accessories provided with reflective material.

You can get a fine on Saturday without reflective vest

Actor Zen Vera also participated in the campaign for greater visibility of pedestrians on the roads. From Saturday, pedestrian reflexes should be mandatory under certain conditions.

Pedestrians should quickly prepare reflective vests, ribbons, reflectors or other similar accessories. On Saturday, a law will begin to apply, according to which people will have to wear such aids whenever they move in low visibility on the road outside the village. The Ministry of Transport thus wants to reduce the number of people fleeing. Two thousand crowns are subject to a fine.

“To wear a reflective vest is a responsibility for pedestrians when moving out of the village under reduced visibility – not only in the night, but also in the clouds, fogs and the like – on the roadside or on the edge of the road in a place not illuminated by public lighting, “The Ministry of Transport said in a press release.

He wants to achieve a reduction in the tragic number of people fleeing, when the victims have paid for not being able to see the road well. Between 2012 and 2015, 523 pedestrians died on the roads. “Only 72 people died in the past year that was not seen at night. Suitable reflective clothing can save many lives. Seeing and seeing is the basic rule of road safety, “the Ministry urges.

Boundaries between life and death are 200 meters! Be on the road! The driver, who meets the walker in black at night, thinks he is about 18 meters long in an adequate response, which is less than a second at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour. If the pedestrian is wearing a reflective element, the driver can recognize it for up to 200 meters.

The law does not specify exactly what a pedestrian must wear. It certainly does not have to be a reflective vest, just any add-on from a reflective material of distinctive color, ideally for example a reflective strap placed on the leg or hand. Reflective elements that are part of the garment are also sufficient. Separate accessories can be purchased for a few tens of crowns, for example, in stationery or sports outlets, trams or petrol pumps.

The Ministry of Transport recommends wearing such a reflective bracelet, for example. You can find it in stores for sporting needs. The Ministry of Transport recommends wearing such a reflective bracelet. You can find them in stores with sporting goods.

In the event of a breach of this law, the fine in question will be up to two thousand crowns. “Instead of imposing sanctions, police patrols will rather talk to people and give them reflective tapes and bags to prevent the law from breaching the law and moving safely on the road,” the ministry said.

The news is part of the wider amendment to the so-called Road Act, which the Chamber passed last year. Some opposition politicians have criticized it as limiting, but transport minister Dan has resisted not wanting to chase pedestrians, but to protect their lives. BESIP then organized a campaign titled “Do We See?” in which it highlights the need for increased pedestrian visibility.

Turn on the reflective tapes and wear them elsewhere

The obligatory reflective tapes have already informed that must be carried on Saturdays by pedestrians on illuminated roads outside the village. The police even distributed hundreds of thousands of reflective strips on sleeves or trousers across the country.

Even though the tape measures 37 centimeters inches, sometimes it can be useless. At least during this time of year, reflective elements would fit the most. For a person who logically takes a warm feather jacket into cold weather, the tape is short. Over the arm where it would be most visible, you simply will not turn it on. The Ministry of Transport recommends wearing reflective tapes on both legs and hands. Strips handed over by the police cannot be turned on even through the calf. Better, it is just above the ankle, but it is also problematic in this area over the ladies’ boots.

Similarly, with magnetic strips, they wrap around themselves after swinging on their hands. They are even shorter, measuring 32.5 centimeters. Easier than on the arm, it will snap to the forearm. When you get the tapes on your hand, there may be more trouble with them. “I have a tape by reflective material, I got it from my friend, and I wear it regularly. I am going to get her over my sleeve, but it is true that she falls or slides down, “one of the readers told her,” I’ll try to get some better, especially to keep it, I’ll definitely wear it, “she added.

The police handed out 100,000 straps last year and another 250,000 of them are giving away this year. They are also available in stores, variants, and sizes. “Today we have only the shorter ones, we’ve had longer, after the bigger demand, and so we had to order them. Interestingly, people are asking a lot about these elements, “they said in a shop for sporting goods in Street, where they sell reflexive tapes in several colors, thirty crowns in one piece.

Other reflective elements were discovered by Deink in the stationery on the square. The packing of two reflective tapes in different colors cost 26 crowns, and there is a sufficiently long tape, which, in addition to the radiant color, contains several integrated lights that can be switched on and off. It costs 69 crowns. “These reflective elements have been bought in the last few days,” they said in the shop. Color tapes are offered other sellers, for example, in the department store in the square they had one for 19 crowns on Tuesday. Increasingly, these protective elements appear on clothing. The sport jackets and sweatshirts are becoming commonplace; of course, they are also placed on backpacks for children, school bags, and most of the backpacks, and bags.

Carrefour stores: red card for reflective armband

Like a chewing gum under the shoe, the retro-reflective cuff is sticky. This is the bitter discovery made by the FFMC antenna of Seine-et-Marne in two Carrefour supermarkets. Retro-reflective armbands are on sale, with, until the intervention of bikers angry, the mention: “Retro-reflective equipment mandatory at January 1, 2013”, written on the packaging…

Pre-empted by consumers, the FFMC 77 responded by calling on 27 May the store managers by registered letter. Here is an excerpt: “The Minister of the Interior, Manuel, published in the official journal an order on 18 December repealing the order of 3 January 2012 The information disseminated to sell your retro-reflective material devices is therefore wrong. These actions are not only disrespectful to your customers, but also illegal. They could, indeed, be qualified as a deceptive commercial practice, defined and repressed by articles L121-1 and following of the Code of the consumption…

Result

The stores responded on May 28, pledging to conceal the reference to the obsolete bond. The director of the supermarket of Collegian also indicated that he had reassembled the information with their central purchasing to intervene with the supplier.

Eve

This is not the first action carried out by the FFMC 77, since it had already obtained satisfaction in the Crossroads and Villiers about the same problem. It remains to be seen if the 228 Carrefour stores located in France will be in tune… It is up to you to send us the information! Let us hope, too, that the manufacturer of reflective armbands stops trying to distribute a product that has become irrelevant. Otherwise, store managers will use black markers!

Pedestrians must have mandatory reflections from September

From August 31, all pedestrians outside the built-up area and after dark must have a reflective element. Is it Absurd recipe? Not at all.

Mandatory reflective elements from 31 August will have to wear Polish pedestrians. Many people are already protesting against “the next regulations of life” and consider this a jump on the money – an easy way to create a new field in which the police can earn many credentials. However, even though I am against excessive regulation myself, I accept this duty with enthusiasm – because the reflections serve not only pedestrians. Anyone who has ever driven an unlit road at night knows it well.

From 1 September, pedestrians will have to wear reflective vest after dark and outside built-up areas. Indignant new provisions often overlook these two conditions. Wrongly – because it is this detail that makes the obligation sense and is needed. Outside the built-up area, roads often lead through forests or are on the sides embellished with a row of trees – after dark you cannot see anything. The lights of the car illuminate a small piece of the road, the driver is focused on driving, has a very small chance of seeing a pedestrian going along the side or the edge of the road. If there are clouds, you can only see a few meters before the car. In addition, remember, outside built-up areas, cars usually move faster than 90km / h, especially after dark when roads are empty.

Pedestrians without glare are then simply invisible. The reflective material changes this diametrically – all you need is a wristband, because the state has not begun to require us to wear waistcoats. One item that can be purchased at the kiosk, at any bazaar, for 2 zlotys. Added to this is the fact that pedestrians walk often without imagination, going almost to the belt.
