Crossing the street on the belts do not guarantee safety.

In the morning around 6:00 am on Pulaski Street in Stochastic there was a tragic deduction of a pedestrian. He passed in a designated place. He died on the spot. The driver of the A3 Audi, driving towards the Monte Casino Heroes Avenue, struck a man passing by at the height of the PKP Stardom station through a pedestrian crossing. The 38-year-old Audi driver was sober.

The details, causes, and circumstances of this tragic event are now explained by the police officers from the criminal department, together with the prosecutor.

The police are appealing for wearing reflective tapes

The use of reflective elements especially in autumn and winter, when it is dark early and visibility is definitely worse, can save our lives. Therefore, wearing reflective clothing by pedestrians should become a habit. Pursuant to the Road Traffic Law, pedestrians who move along the road after dark outside the built-up area are obliged to use reflective elements in a manner visible to other road users.

Correctly worn reflective materials should be placed in such a place that they are in the field of car lights and visible to drivers coming in from both directions (from the back and the front). If you attach a reflective element to the backpack (on the back of the silhouette) it is obvious that it will not be noticed by drivers coming from the opposite direction and vice avers when the reflection will be only in front, the driver behind us will not see him. It is safe to have two reflective elements one at the front and the other at the back or to use such types of reflections that can be seen from both sides, for example, reflective tapes.

The Cantabile and the DGT promote among the greater habits to increase road safety

The Cantabile DE Generic and the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) have held different talks in recent weeks to promote habits among the elderly on the island that will increase road safety in the road environment. Specifically, this week they have taught two days of work in the Association of Mayors Beforehand, in La Lacuna, and the Association of Seniors Horizon Como Colorado, in Contestable, which are added to those made on February 28 and one of March in the San Pedro DE Guest Association of Agana and Day Center for Seniors Isidro Rodriguez Castro, both in Santa Cruz.

In total, they have participated in these talks, which have as motto ‘Our Active and Safe Seniors, about 200 people. The objective is to continue with the activity, for which new days are already scheduled in March and April in the municipalities of La Lacuna, Contestable, Santa Cruz, San Juan DE la Lamb, Santiago Del Chide, Guava DE Isobar, and La Nanchang. The different local police forces have also collaborated.

This project is part of the road accident prevention campaign aimed at older people and is part of the existing collaboration between both entities on road safety education, which places special emphasis on safety actions aimed at the most vulnerable groups. The ultimate goal is to modify behavioral habits to create safe behaviors since in recent years there has been an increase in the number of abuses to higher in an age range between 64 and 80.

During the talks, the emphasis is placed on issues such as the possible physical changes that age brings and how these affect the circulation, such as pedestrians and drivers. It also realizes how some drugs can cause a decrease in their reflex capacities, at the same time that aspects of the road safety regulations are detailed, accident data are offered, as well as the importance of the figure of the grandfather in the imitative behavior of their grandchildren. In addition, on each day the participants are given a reflective vest with reflective tapes, with the slogan ‘Peat, Harte Er, It is the best life insurance’ for the purpose of using it when walking on the island roads or streets, as well as deplorable with recommendations for seniors and professionals.

The campaign is based on conducting awareness-raising talks to guarantee one’s own safety and that of others. The content is taught by the road education coordinator of the Provincial Traffic Department. Also, a technical manager of the Cantabile Roads area attends the programmed interventions, such as logistical and complementary support and as a promoter of road education on the Island.

The recipients of this activity are the users of centers and associations of elderly people of the Island. They are trained in road safety taking into account their role as pedestrians, drivers and public transport users.

Car and walking

When confronted with a car, the pedestrian has little chance of avoiding injuries. Modern technology, however, gives you the chance to prevent pedestrians from being hit by a car. These are systems that detect the presence of a pedestrian on the road in time.

Not every pedestrian realizes that in some situations he becomes a participant in road traffic – especially when crossing a street or street. According to the regulations, pedestrians on the marked crossing have priority over the vehicle. At the same time, it is forbidden to go directly in front of a moving car. However, the driver is obliged to be particularly careful when approaching the pedestrian crossing.

The regulations allow the pedestrian to cross the road outside the crossing if the distance from the nearest such place exceeds 100 meters.

It can only do this if it is sure that it will not hinder the traffic and drivers will not be exposed to sudden braking. In addition, crossing the road outside the marked pedestrian crossing is obliged to give way to vehicles.

The pedestrian also becomes a participant in the road traffic, when he uses the road outside the built-up area in a situation where there is no sidewalk.

– In this situation, the pedestrian can move the left side of the road, thanks to which he will see cars approaching from the opposite direction – explains Bradshaw Pulaski, Kodak Auto Skoal instructor.

The presence of a pedestrian on the road outside the built-up area is a threat that becomes even more dangerous after dark. Despite the fact that the pedestrian sees the car approaching, it may be invisible to the driver, especially when a different vehicle arrives from the opposite direction. In the brightness of its headlights, the silhouette of a pedestrian at the edge of the road blends with its surroundings.

– A walking night wearing a dark outfit is seen by the driver from a distance of about 40 meters. However, if you are wearing reflective vests, it becomes visible even from a distance of 150 meters – emphasizes Bradshaw Pulaski.

That is why the regulations impose on the pedestrians moving along the way after dusk the obligation to have reflective materials.

The issue of pedestrian safety is extremely important for car manufacturers. Until recently, systems protecting the weakest road users were offered in the equipment of higher class cars. Currently, they can also be found in the cars of popular brands. One of such systems is the Pedestrian Monitor, a function that was included in the standard equipment in Kodak Karo and Kodiak. It is an emergency braking system in case of detecting the risk of collision with a pedestrian. Pedestrian Monitor uses a radar that scans the area in front of the car. The advanced algorithm processes the received signals and at speeds in the range of 10 to 60 km / h, the system can recognize the risk of collision with a pedestrian and react on its own.

In this situation, he first warns the driver of the danger and finally automatically applies the brakes. At speeds above 30 km / h, a warning message appears on the instrument cluster display.

However, this type of solution does not absolve the driver from caution, while pedestrians moving after dark on the road outside the built-up area to be better visible should wear any reflective tape.

Walkers are not seen in the dark, their car crashes are constantly increasing

Red or blue are nothing. Even orange is not the right one. The best is a bright yellow-green. Police and traffic experts advised pedestrians about the weekend, which reflective tapes should be best marked in darkness, rain, mist or snowfall to prevent them from being hit by a car.

“The yellow-green is the spectrum of light that the human eye responds most sensitively to. Silver strips are also made, which are gorgeous but the problem is when the pedestrian gets to places where there is a lot of horizontal markings. It can then merge with it, “says Roman Bud-sky of the Road Safety Team.

He fights for pedestrians to be labeled as reduced visibility by reflective materials in the village. So far, the law only orders outside the village in places where there is no public lighting.

At the same time, most pedestrians are in the cities, and most of them have to collide there. “There are countries where this regulation is already in force, such as Finland, Estonia or Slovakia. We did not want to talk to us because it is politically fierce, but there are pressures to introduce it in the Czech Republic, “Bud-es said.

That these efforts are not unreasonable, the number of accidents is also evidenced. “Only from January to September we had eight hundred pedestrians in the Climber region. It’s about twelve more than last year. The most dangerous are the evening hours, but also the accidents during the day of low visibility, “said spokesman of the Regional Police Directorate, Last Nonesuch.

Reflective tape belongs to the leg, not to the bag

In addition, many pedestrians do not know where to place the reflective tape correctly. The law does not make any difference. “It’s best to put it on your foot over your ankle. The car’s lights shine from underneath and thus illuminate the tape on his ankle before his hands. It’s also often that people put tape on their wrists, but then they cover their sleeves with their sleeves, “commented Market Nonvoting of the Road Safety Team.

For her foolishness, her colleague Buds reflexive straps are woven around the ear of a bag you throw over your shoulder. “It does a lot of people, but that’s nothing. The tape is rolled up, so only a logger is lit. She must be in some area for the driver to register. ”

Experts also urge the tape to be as broad and as it is certified. On the underside, they must have uppercase CE letters. It only ensures that the product is truly reflective.

“It is also possible to buy tapes without this designation and their reflective elements tend to be miserable to zero. At first glance, they are beautifully colored, but they do not even reflect in the dark. So it’s better to pay a few extra crowns for something that will really protect you, “Bud-es warns.

Walkers in darkness and reduced visibility move out of the village without reflective clothing, there is a fine of up to two thousand crowns. And the cops actually give out the fines. At the same time, they warn the drivers that they should do everything in order not to be a risk to pedestrians.

“It’s cooler now, so air humidity condenses on the windscreen and visibility decreases. Glass needs to be degrease from the inside because moisture is kept on grease. Once a year, they also have to change the rubber on the wipers so they can really wipe off. Likewise, few people change the bulbs at the dipped-beam headlamps, except when they break. But even if the bulb does not break, its brightness decreases significantly after years, so it should be replaced from time to time, “recommends Jan Fries-er from the traffic police in the Climber region.

Attention drivers, suicide on the streets!

Not for nothing, Romanian drivers are recognized as valuable, and that’s because we are being taught to go by the way. Pits over pits, unlit or ill illuminated sectors, pointers on trees and others.

The most serious problem, especially during the evening, is pedestrians, cyclists, wagons who do not wear reflective vests or reflective tapes. On the Bicarb-Americanism road section, for example, where the road is extremely illuminated, these people come like projectiles in front of the cars, and a driver, however, experienced, is barely able to see them in the last second.

Not to mention those who get drunk at night, at weekends, from the village birdies and lie halfway down the road.

With a small car, it’s like a little more, you get a little bit of a wheel and maybe-you can manage to avoid it, but what is a poor truck driver that takes up the entire band and cannot avoid? Does the man remain without a license and a miserable life? Remain!

A reflective jacket costs an average of 8 to 15 Ron, which no one can say is a sum. The 8 lei can save your life, and it’s hard to understand why some people even refuse to wear it. It’s no shame, brothers, it’s proof of your reputation for your own life and the life of the drivers you can destroy!

Happy children’s party in the Salbutamol

Icelandic horse training school offered a varied program. Around 40 children took a riding test.

Music rang, children laughed and raved, horses whinnied, steaks and sausages buffed on the grill and in the riding hall burst balloons. The children’s party, which recently took place at the Icelandic Horse Training School Felafel Valley, was a happy, colorful celebration for the whole family. “I really like the way everything is provided for the children here. The party is very well organized. In addition, everyone is very, very nice, “praises Tina Minster from Ginning. Her daughter Annabel (6) has been riding at the riding school for a year and is one of the nearly 40 children who took an exam.

“I’m doing terrain 1,” she said proudly, “to Renoir.” While she was putting on her breeze-themed breeches after playing and romping in the warm weather, she was excited. Now the helmet and the safety vest with reflective tapes, and the adventure could begin.

In the morning the exams took place in Standard and Tilt. Now the first field group with examiner Sonja Epimethius came back. “You have already done quite well and all passed”, Sonja Epimethius provided for bright faces in the children and also the parents who had accompanied them. First, she distributed the exam books. Then she explained to the children what they can do better: The commands immediately and independently tell others and when climbing up the buttocks from the saddle about to facilitate the horses their work.

The exams motivate the children to set goals and to achieve them. In addition to the riding training, this also includes theory about the Icelandic horse.

When the horses had left the hall, the storm broke loose: More than 20 children tried balloons football to crush each others balloons. “We’ve played a lot with Natasha,” they report breathlessly: sack hop and can throw, silence post and catch. “The best was the Chernenko-eating contest!” It shouted from many sides. “I’ve already ridden the roller slide,” explains Julius Frenzy proudly.

Also in the straw castle in the yard, where the parents at beer sets to the grills enjoyed delicious salads and homemade cakes, it was up high. Straw flew through the air. On a rope, small and larger children, with and without breeches, swung daringly through the air and jumped into the soft straw. Even at the roller slide, the horses lay relaxed in their spouts or dozing on their feet.

Except for Ditto and Picture: The two good-natured Icelanders were currently wearing Lea Fisherman (7) and her little brother Ton (3) while pony riding. “I tattooed a rainbow bird,” said the eight-year-old, showing her painting. Ton enthroned as Epidermal beaming on the horse. For the two it was their first encounter with horses. “That’s great!”, Both agreed. Most of all, they would not want to leave.

The Napoleonic cycling and police campaign has started

During the meetings, they were given to cyclists, among others reflective vests, reflective tapes, and sets of bicycle lamps. The organizers invite you to participate in the action in the following days.

-Napoleonic policemen in order to minimize traffic incidents involving unprotected road users, carry out many preventive and educational activities directed to road users in various age groups – says Alexandra Prepackage from the Aviator Police Headquarters in Napoleonic. – Very often safety lessons are given to pupils and seniors, during which officers share their experience and knowledge about security. Equally, an important emphasis is put on the education of drivers.

Yesterday, the Napoleonic group Balk Stael together with the Napoleonic police started a new action, this time under the slogan “Nijinsky Promenade.

So the action is to increase public awareness of safe traffic on the roads, especially in periods when the dark sets in quickly, and the reflective materials give the drivers a chance for a faster response and effective braking – says the policewoman.

In order to reach as many road users as possible, the action will be informative and happening. During the meetings, they were given to cyclists, among others reflective vests, reflective tapes, and sets of bicycle lamps. One of the attractions of this several-day action will be the Saturday “LIGHT CYCLE BIKE”. Bike Krona has been involved in the joint promotion of safety by donating bicycle lamps and Unwary Cafe.

Amber says the militia is being watched by asylum seekers

The German police are investigating information that there are groups of militants from the far right in the streets of Amber. In the town near the Czech border, four people were attacked by passers-by over the weekend. The case sparked a debate in Germany on tightening the procedure for expelling asylum-seekers who have committed a violent crime.

Police, on Thursday, told the agency that they know about social networking contributions that are shown by supporters of the extreme right-wing National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD) in the streets of Amber. They are wearing reflective tapes and red reflective vests on the photos and videos, with the words “We’re creating protective zones”. They are moving, among other things, in places where attacks took place at the end of last year. But according to the police spokesperson, there is no specific information about regular patrols or demonstrations in the streets of the Upper Palatinate.

The Mayor of Amber, Michael Carny, has also pointed out contributions to the Facebook of the NPD in Nuremberg. At the same time, he stressed that in his city the extreme right-wing scene is virtually non-existent, but only individuals with extremist views are known. The anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AFD), however, received 13.1 percent of the votes in Amber in last year’s election. In all of Bavaria, she gained 10.2 percent.

The tension in Amber, which lies halfway between Nuremberg and the Czech border, has begun to increase after a weekend in the center of the city has attacked a group of four under crown asylum seekers – three young men from Afghanistan and one from Iran – to passers-by. Injuries, mostly light, suffered from twelve people aged 16 to 42. However, a 17-year-old boy had to have a head injury to the hospital. All four attackers are in custody. But according to Bavarian Interior Minister Machismo Fisherman, three of them are legally impossible to expel at present.

The case in Germany has sparked a debate on the expulsion of asylum-seekers who commit a crime. For example, Interior Minister Holst Coffeehouse has advised he wants to propose tightening the procedure for such expulsion. On the contrary, Greens, Leftists and FDP liberals have warned of an exaggerated response to the Amber incident, and have called for the more rigorous implementation of current laws. The topic was also taken up by the Bavarian AD organization. Her Deputy Chair, Karin Abner-Steiner, has announced that she will be visiting Amber today to “make her own picture of the situation in the city.”

Police spokesman, however, stressed on Thursday that the security situation in Amber is good and there are plenty of cops on the ground.

A 50-YEAR HUNTER, VICTIM OF MORTAL ACCIDENT AT THE BERTESTI

* The man had descended from a van that had failed to put a reflective triangle on the road but was hit by a car driven by a 43-year-old Braille from Victoria

The end came on his way home for a 50-year-old man from Galas, the victim of the road accident from Thursday night to Friday, between Bertie DE Jews and Spire Caret. The man was in the van belonging to a construction company in Galas and came from a work done in Constance. At the wheel, there is another 28-year-old Gaiman.

As the Braille police officers established Thursday evening, the driver in Galatia was driving the Isuzu van on DJ 212, from Constable to Braille, but because of a malfunction, he stopped the vehicle in the county of Braille. The driver gave the passenger 50 years of age a reflective vest and signaling triangle, both occupants descending to put the reflective triangles.

When the 50-year-old arrived at the back of the cabin, although he had a reflective jacket, the reflective tapes on the jacket is broken, he was not noticed by the driver of a “Volkswagen Polo” that struck him. After the impact, the man was projected over the van and then fell on the roadside. Unfortunately, he died on the spot.

The car that was driven by a 43-year-old Braille from Victoria has entered the back of the van. The accident resulted in the injuries of the two drivers, the car and the car, but also the two passengers in the car, two 53-year-old and 60-year-old men from Victoria. The driver of the van was tested with the Protestant, the result is zero.

The man driving the VW car could not be tested and blood samples for blood alcohol were collected. Local witnesses said that the Braille driver was moving at speed and was under the influence of alcohol. The cops will set the truth. They have filed a criminal record for murder and personal injury.

How far does it take for a car at 65 km / h not to hit a pedestrian?

A car traveling at 65 km / h at night needs a distance of more than 40 meters to avoid hitting a pedestrian or a corridor. ‘runner’. At this time of year, with the shortest days, in which thousands of professional and amateur runners go out to train -even competing- at night, the maxim of “see and be seen” is essential to avoid provoking or being a victim of an accident.

Numerous studies show that reduced visibility is one of the determining factors in pedestrians and cyclists. Therefore, it is important that the night corridor, that pedestrian of the high risk that moves quickly, make sure to be visible to the rest of users of the road, something that too often does not happen. Thinking especially about the night corridor, and to help make your outings safer, the Philips lighting brand, which manufactures and markets Illumines, puts at your disposal the Philips HDL10 headlamp, an ergonomic device with LED technology that provides a soft light with which to beat the darkness in each training

The organizers of the “IX Workshop for Road Safety and Responsible Maintenance of Vehicles” that will be held on March 10 in Madrid and of which Illumines is a sponsoring company through the Philips lighting brand, also recommends drivers to check the lighting system of vehicles, and runners use lighting devices to run, such as LED fronts.

Not in vain, a “runner” that is not visible to motorists assumes a great risk. It is enough to mention that, at night, and according to the conclusions of a study prepared by the Vehicle Research Institute, Farrago Center, a runner wearing dark clothes is only visible at less than 20 meters for the motorist who circulates with the lights of crossing at 40 km / h, which makes it impossible to stop the vehicle within your visual range. In the same situation, but if the runner wears clean clothes, the visual range of the driver would be less than 40 m, so that driving at 65 km / h the motorist could not stop the car within its visual range.

For all this, and to facilitate the recognition of the corridor and possible overtaking maneuvers to the vehicles with which the road shares, the night athlete must help to be visible in advance to the rest of the road users. For this, you can use clear clothes and reflective materials such as vests and items that can be placed on different parts of the body, such as ankles and wrists, and that will allow the motorist to realize that he shares the road with a person in motion. In addition, and to avoid accidents, trips and falls, and be seen much earlier, Philips lighting experts recommend resorting to the use of lighting devices suitable for sports, such as the high-quality LED front LPL29B1, an ergonomic device and adjustable 90 ° which allows to easily direct the light according to the needs of the corridor and its surroundings.

Similarly, Illumines experts recommend drivers to check frequently the status of the lighting system of their vehicles, more in winter when the days are shorter and are also more frequent meteorological phenomena (rain, snow, fog …), that reduce visibility on the road. Remember, too, that the use of Philips lamps like the XV + allows you to see on the road at a greater distance.

Tips to increase the visibility and safety of the night corridor:

  1. Choose the right equipment: Starting with the shoes and finishing with the clothes. They must be adapted to the terrain through which you are going to travel, the expected climate and temperature. At this time of little or no light, it is more necessary than ever to choose light, fluorescent clothes with reflective tapes, and that the sole of the shoes and grip are appropriate to the terrain.
  1. Reflective devices: It is highly recommended to use a reflective vest that further enhances the visibility of the corridor. It is also a good idea to use bracelets or anklets that make it easier to identify an athlete on the move.
  1. Use a lighting front: In your night careers, you will become your best ally. Not only will it help you illuminate the ground you run on, but it will also contribute to the fundamental goal of making you more visible, and at a greater distance, to others. Choose a comfortable model, that facilitates its adjustment to the head, and with autonomy and quality of the beam of adequate light.
