Reflective running shorts for the advertising bunny

Do you still remember where you can find the pink bunny from the laundry ads? Yes, exactly, wherever the beaver and the Hebe are beautiful. As the sun begins to burn, we have prepared a series of cross-country reflective shorts for you. In the upcoming heat we will not run in elastics, are we? Salting is the first to come – and, as you can see, he is putting the bar high enough.

 

Meanwhile, I always ran only in elastics of both long and short (so if Tomas Zahakis just did not lend my skirt) and I confess that I was initially looking at running shorts with suspicion and a bit of resistance. Some influence on this may have been the fact that my British cross-country friends have such an outrageous “pedal-shorts” for this garment (you can easily translate into Czech – something like “pedophile shorts”).

 

However, these shorts are such a good transition between elastics and shirts for us suspicious. Inside, some black slips of soft elastic material have been sewn. They have great stretching, they are well-fitting, and they breathe and do not smash, so your family jewelry will be like cotton. In order to sit well, the earmuffs in the perimeter parts of the legs are mainly concerned. The rest of your sofa has plenty of room for your spatial expression.

 

On the right side of the slips there is a small inner pocket with a key or mp3 player. Overall, the dignified black design gently underscores the pull-on fabrics produced in yellow reflective material. A wide elastic band combines inner briefs with outer shorts. While the inside was made of a mixture of 88% polyester and 12% spandex, the outer part is made of 100% polyester.

 

The outer legs have a short gap and four rows of round perforations almost all the length for better ventilation. Also for this reason and for the purpose of increasing comfort, the strip of fabric is between the legs of fine mesh fabric. The whole is so breathtaking and comfortable.

 

On both sides of the outer tread are silver reflective stripes, which by their wrapping close the band by perforation and thus fulfills the appropriate aesthetic function. The manufacturer’s logo at the bottom of the left leg is also reflective. The shorts generally increase the passive safety in the dark or dark, whether on the roads or on the bike paths.

 

After a few tens of kilometers I have to admit that there will be something on the shorts. When I think about it, I take them more and more often than the elastics. Proper sock selection is simply a guarantee of long-term comfort during the race. If it still looks good, it’s better. But why would such fuses at the same time help to increase security?

 

Yes it’s right. These Reebok socks carry rich reflex equipment all over their back. At RUN, the RUN sign will delight everyone, even the unfamiliar runner. The reflective surface is so large that neither you’re motorized nor non-motorized driver will miss out on your moving lower limbs in the darkness. Of course, their equipment is most outstanding in the spring and summer months when the reflectors are not covered with long leggings or tracksuits.

 

Crew socks by reflective fabric are distinguished to the right and left. They have reinforced heels and toes against excessive wear, while achieving greater comfort. The opening and underside of the longitudinal vault have a reinforced transverse spring, so the socks are beautifully wrapped around the foot and held in place. Surface areas are designed for faster sweat ventilation. The stitches have socks of a relatively long length, so they also protect the Achilles, for example, in the early morning frosts or in the aforementioned night runs for which they are intended.

 

The reflex points themselves are certainly not fun to attach to the elastic fabric. Manufacturers, of course, have succeeded in doing so. Several launches passed socks without losing the garland and survived with all the reflective elements on board. I would certainly recommend washing these socks out of the way so as to avoid unnecessary damage to the reflex.

 

The socks were still tens of kilometers without showing signs of wear. Most of my socks go to my fingernail, but no pathological changes can be observed here. I also completely like their colorful design. The predominant black still looks good, even if you mess with some mud on your way. I like the raised knits that hold the warmth of the lower part of the calf. Perhaps the only thing I would do on my socks is the elasticity of the upper hem. It pulls me too tightly, but I believe it is still a little bit subject to use. But this will certainly be very individual. Added value in the form of rear reflectors, of course, makes me very happy. Whoever has moved at night on our roads knows that reflective material and other elements of passive safety are never enough.

 

 

Reflective vest halves the risk of accident

During the dark months of the year, the number of traffic jams increases. Although a reflective vest halves the risk of accident, two out of three Swedes go without. Young is the worst in using reflexes. Forgetting and vanity is said to be the main reason. A ‘second skin’ flexible, reflective and full color

A team of scientists from the University Central Florida (USA) has developed an innovative technique to create an ultra-thin, flexible and full-color reflective screen. It is the first device of its kind worldwide and has been collected this week by Nature Communications.

 

This new technique has allowed designing a lightweight, flexible screen that does not require light source for its operation: it seems a second skin that simulates the mechanism of camouflage animals such as chameleons or octopuses.

But if you look at an octopus, you see that you can create colors on your skin, a screen that covers your entire body, with very complex contours, and is also stretchable and flexible. Inspired by nature, scientists designed this reflective material with a thin layer of liquid crystal placed on a metal nanostructure capable of absorbing some wavelengths and reflecting others. In this way, the colors that are reflected, that is, those that perceive the ones we look at, can be controlled at will by regulating a small electric current that interacts with the molecules of the liquid crystal layer and the Plasmon waves of the Surface of the metal nanostructure.

 

Unlike other earlier devices that could display a rather limited range of colors, this screen can “play” with any type of color with a size 15 times thinner than a human hair.

Future applications for this reflective skin are as varied as accessible. We could have clothes that would change color at will (and any type of textile or plastic alike) or screens for mobile or computers completely flexible, thin and light.

Nike adds reflective colors to its running collection

Nike launches its Flash Pack collection with multicolored reflective prints that increase the visibility of the runners.

Road Shoes with reflective material

There are many types with reflective material and types of footwear. But when I got into the hands of Supernova, I knew I had to get to my feet. It was so much love at first glance. Yes, of course, the first look can sometimes be disappointing. But this time everything went smoothly and I’m glad we met.

 

Supernova Glide 7 comes from the good Boost family. It has a midsole with a known damping, which looks a bit like a polystyrene balls. The boot provides a balanced mix of comfort (traction) and comfort. For the shoes you use almost daily to drive miles, you’ll really appreciate that. The drop of the soles is not entirely minimalistic, from the heel to the tip it has a height difference of ten millimeters, but you barely notice this.

 

It has branched torsion struts and the center of the shoe is stiff but the toe bends easily and does not make much resistance to the torsion. This makes it surprisingly comfortable. Of course, the heel is also on the outside and the outsole is borrowed from the automotive industry.

 

The stern, or black part, comes from the Continental automotive giant. Supernova has its outsole with a finely cut pattern designed on the road. And he keeps the asphalt very well even in heavy torrential rains. There are minor problems on the stone, so increase your attention if you are passing a reflective strip of cubes. Polished marble with a soaked shoe, surely avoid, or hit like a goat on ice. But you cannot find such evidence on the roads, panic is in place.

 

Also worth mentioning is the higher abrasion resistance of the sole. In view, the three-millimeter layer of black rubber has a very subtle impression. The appearance in this case is deceiving. I do not know the kilometers I have ever seen.

Sophisticated language

 

The top of my shoe also surprised me with its soft design. The classic three stripes stretching from the center of the foot to the stitches are usually stiff. The boot can suit a wide variety of runners with a variety of foot types. I have a relatively wide front, so I can really appreciate the space and the mobility. Properly balanced comfort and shoe durability will not leave you on either the long or the long track.

 

The language used by this manufacturer is very well sophisticated and tailored to the specific shoe specialization. The stitching of the seam in the front is complemented by a generous elastic tape made of the inner lining that holds it in the right place on both sides. The stability of the soft tongue is further enhanced by a classic loop for stretching the laces.

 

I also liked the shoe design. The tasteful design was able to perfectly combine the visual aspect with functionality. The distinctive color contributes to your greater visibility on the roads and, in addition to the branding on the heel, reflects three wide stripes with reflective element of the company logo on both sides of the shoe.

Reflective safety clothing for Cross-country

Since the autumn is already in full swing, we’ve tested everything you need to keep you away, but they did not cook in their own juice.

The main role will be long ladies’ trousers. From the point of view, nothing interesting – black leggings. They are made of flexible hard reflective material (it is not cold and fast drying) and have a sophisticated cut, especially in the area of the knees and thighs, which makes them perfectly suited, they do not roll anywhere. In the back of the legs there is a zipper that makes them better dressed.

 

Plus, there is a small internal key pocket, money or handkerchief to solve the unpleasant question of “where to go”. Minuses are the absence of a larger zip pocket, but the pants from the new collection have already. The evening runs are definitely not reflective tapes (for H & M typical) that extend across the length of their thighs. The only downside to my trousers is in the lower saddle – after a longer run, the trousers are slightly down. Not that they fall, but somebody may not be nice. Leggings from the new collection are now higher and can be pulled down on the string.

 

The shirt with a long sleeve and hood pleased me most. It is produced in two color variants – gray-pink and gray-black with a batik pattern. (These colors go through half of the current collection.) Sitting perfectly on the body, but not too tight, the sleeves are long and fitted with a hole for the thumb (ideal for winter-wise women). The hood is the ideal solution if you feel cold when running. You do not have to wear a hat with your hood to replace it well (when it does not fall off your head) and whenever you can take it off. The material is very pleasant too: soft and thin, slightly soaked on the underside so it is pleasant but not hot. He also sweats well and dries quickly.

 

The reflective vest can be dressed in a t-shirt or in the winter in the wind. Clearly the most varied piece I’ve enjoyed many times on a bike, cross-country skiing or on a trip when the weather changed. Its greatest advantage is lightness and storage, easily put into your pocket or kidney. It’s made of soft polyester with a soft finish, so it does not work “plastic” and it does not blow too much in motion.

 

Relatively well protects against bulging; Stronger winds penetrate the fabric, but it can be more when running (and with regard to sweat drainage). A slightly looser cut allows you to wear your waistcoat even over your sweatshirt, while the extended length of the back will ensure that it does not “reach your kidneys”. The bottom hem is also rubberized, so the waist keeps on the sides and does not climb upwards. The front has a reflective strap across the length of the zip and reflective headband, a smaller reflective tape and a spacious pocket on the back. It goes hand in hand with the phone without bothering to jump from side to side. The mesh fabric on the back is swept away where it is most needed at the run, and the vest does not stick to it on the back.
